Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires (stylized as Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 4: Dawn of the Vampires, often shortened to Zombies 4 or abbreviated as Z4) is an upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, and is a sequel to the 2022 film, Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3, serving as the fourth installment of the Z-O-M-B-I-E-S franchise. It is set to premiere on July 10, 2025 on Disney Channel.

Synopsis

In the first three “ZOMBIES” movies, Zed and Addison brought human and monsterkind together in their hometown of Seabrook. Now, a new adventure dawns for Addison and Zed when their summer road trip takes an unexpected detour, landing them in the middle of yet another monster rivalry: Daywalkers vs. Vampires. Tensions flare when the duo find themselves acting as camp counselors between the two opposing supernatural factions. With the help of Eliza and Willa, they must convince sworn enemies Nova and Victor to try to unite their warring worlds before an even greater threat endangers them all.

Production

On February 10, 2024, Zombies 4 received the green light from Ayo Davis, President of Disney Branded Television, during Disney’s 2024 Television Critics Association winter press tour. Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim will also executive produce. Paul Hoen will return to direct the fourth installment. The movie was written by David Light, Joseph Raso, and Josh Cagan. In addition to Manheim and Donnelly, the film’s executive producers include Hoen, Light, Raso, Jane Fleming and Mark Ordesky. Mahita P. Simpson is a co-executive producer on the film, which is a production of Bloor Street Productions. On April 19, 2024, the title was revealed to be Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires.

Casting

In February 2024, Meg Donnelly, Milo Manheim, Chandler Kinney, Kylee Russell and Carla Jeffery were confirmed to reprise their roles, with newcomers Freya Skye and Malachi Barton joining the cast. In March 2024, Swayam Ranjeet Bhatia, Julian Lerner, Mekonnen Knife, Lisa Chappell and Jonno Roberts joined the cast.

Filming

Production began on March 25, 2024 in Auckland, New Zealand. Filming wrapped on May 16, 2024. According to Chandler Kinney, Z4 was supposed to be filmed in the spring of 2023. However, it got pushed back to the summer of said year and then the SAG-AFTRA strike occurred which ended all possibilities of filming in 2023.

Music

The film's score was done by Tom Howe. The soundtrack features nine new original songs, including "The Place to Be", and two reprises of fan-favorite hits, “Someday” and “Ain’t No Doubt About It.” On May 1, 2025, the soundtrack cover art and tracklist was posted onto X. The first snippet of "The Place to Be" was also revealed. On May 2, 2025, "The Place to Be" was officially released onto all music platforms, with the music video dropping alongside the release. That same day, the film's entire tracklist was revealed.

Release

Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 4: Dawn of the Vampires will air on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 7 pm on Disney Channel and will stream the next day, Friday, July 11, on Disney+. It will also be available on Disney Channel on Demand. The full trailer was released on May 22, 2025.
