Zombies: Addison's Moonstone Mystery (re-titled Zombies: Addison's Monster Mystery for the second season) is a series of animated shorts. This takes place after Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 2. It premiered on October 16, 2020 on Disney Channel. The second season was aired on October 1, 2021.
Plot[]
Season 1[]
A new school year begins for Addison, Zed, the zombies and werewolves, and Addison feels she needs to find her "missing piece". Her answer might come to her when she encounters a mysterious new girl named Vanna, who harbors a dark secret about her heritage.
Season 2[]
Addison is hosting the Halloween Fall Ball and going above and beyond to make it extra spooky fun. After giving the Shrimpy costume a makeover using some stones from the Wolf Den, a mysterious power brings the costume to life like it’s Frankenstein’s monster--Monster Shrimpy begins terrorizing everyone and smashing everything in his path! Zed and Willa will need to work together with Addison to save the Fall Ball… and Seabrook itself!

On October 2nd, 2021. The official Disney Channel YouTube account released two new additions to the ‘Addison’s Moonstone Mystery’ series both by the name ‘Addison’s Monster Mystery’. Though not a confirmed season 2, the episodes acted as the next chapter in the Zombies franchise until the 3rd installment premiered.

- The animation design of the characters are closely modeled after their live-action counterparts, and also take inspiration from the ZOMBIES doll line.
- The animation seems to be taken from the animated prologues of both films.
- Addison's Moonstone Mystery started out as an album by Meg Donnelly (Addison).
- The series has featured two original songs so far: "Feeling the Power" by Meg Donnelly, Milo Mannheim (Zed), and the ZOMBIES cast (which was not a music video, but featured as an original song) and "You Do You" by Meg Donnelly and Chandler Kinney (Willa). All other songs, such as "Do It Like the Zombies Do" and "One for All" originate from the two Zombies movies.
- This is the first animated series produced exclusively to Disney Channel after Mickey Mouse.
- The intro was first shown at the end of the "More than a Mystery" music video.
- Each episode is less than five minutes long.
- Bucky and Bonzo don't appear in the series.
- The series takes place between the events of Zombies 2 and Zombies 3.
