"Re-Senior Year" is the first segment of the first episode in the first season of Z-O-M-B-I-E-S: The Re-Animated Series, serving as the series premiere. It is also the first episode of the series overall and it premiered on June 28, 2024 on Disney Channel.
Plot[]
A-Spen's alien time warp technology resets senior year, allowing Zed, Addison, and the rest of the gang to spend another year all together. Addison decides to start the semester by taking on the highly advanced Alien classes. A-Spen feels they might be too advanced for her, and that she should not over-challenge herself. However, Addison is confident she can handle it, putting her faith in her newly discovered alien heritage and her skills as an A+ student with a crazy work ethic. Meanwhile, Zed is happy to have Eliza back at school after her off-campus internship. Eliza is looking forward to attending the Alien classes, only to be told there are no vacancies. Since Eliza aced all the other classes and desires a challenge, she decides to sign up for another off-campus internship. However, Zed stops her, reminding her they promised to spend re-senior together. He even suggests that she should challenge herself by NOT challenging herself. In other words, spend the year slacking off. Eliza sees through Zed's cunning plan, but accepts his proposal.
Meanwhile, Addison joins A-Spen at her first Alien classes. At first, it goes well for Addison. But soon the lessons become more difficult, more than Addison can handle. It gets to a point where she finds herself lost in the class. As for Zed and Eliza, they spend the morning skipping class and hanging out together. All the while, Coach follows them around, disapproving of them skipping classes. Pretty soon, Eliza's need for an educational challenge becomes desperate, as she does not wish to spend the entire year slacking off. So, she looks up off-campus internships behind Zed's back.
The pressures of the Alien classes soon become too much for Addison. She is asked by the computer teacher to program a course through an asteroid field and almost crashes the classroom. Fortunately, A-Spen prevents this and accidentally ejects Addison from the classroom. Her hoverchair sends her hurdling through the school hallways and scoops up Zed and Eliza, who are on the run from Coach. The three of them continue to hurdle through the hallways and eventually crash outside the school.
Addison finally realises taking all those Alien classes at once were indeed too challenging for her. However, everything turns out alright in the end. Coach changes Addison and Eliza's schedules. Eliza can now attend the Alien classes, while Addison only has basic Alien levitation classes alongside her normal classes.
