The Moonstone is an ancient crystal that creates and connects all Monsters.[1] It is currently used as a power source by Zombies, Werewolves, Daywalkers and Vampires, as seen in Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 4: Dawn of the Vampires.[1]

History[]

A galactic[1] Moonstone crashed in Seabrook, and it had created or belonged to Werewolves, being their life source. In Seabrook's early days, when the first settlers came to the land, they found the wolves hiding in the forest. Since the wolves and settlers didn't understand each other, a battle happened and the settlers discovered the moonstone and safeguarded it from the wolves, vowing to never let anyone steal their treasure. They hid it underneath Seabrook, and the town harvested from the energy of the stone.[2] A few decades later, there was an incident at Seabrook Power. One day, someone spilled lime soda on the electricals of the power plant, including the moonstone. This caused a supernatural event, where zombies were created.[3] Sometime when the original moonstone crashed in Seabrook, another stone crashed on top of Mount Rayburn, creating two new monsters in two different worlds, also forming two separate stones: the darkstone and the lightstone. But over the years, the monsters began to fight over the Blood Fruit, which each needed to survive. Their differences turned into suspicion and fear, causing them to lock themselves off from each other forever.[1] One faction took a piece of the moonstone and guarded it, not knowing that separation would cause their Blood Fruit Orchards to lose power. The blood fruit's roots were underground with a cauldron surrounding it. The cauldron was used to hold a moonstone, but since the stones were apart, the roots began to release a pulse, calling out for help. This pulse affected any nearby power sources for monsters, such as, zombies, werewolves, but for some reason not aliens as Addison remains uninjured. In the end, when the stones were reunited, the blood fruit roots began growing again, with the unity causing rain, which regrew the destroyed orchards.[1] The moonstone is said to have a part in the creation of aliens as the stone creates monsters.[1]

Uses[]

Werewolves have small pieces of the original moonstone embedded into magical necklaces, that must be recharged, or they will die.[2] Daywalkers have small pieces of the lightstone from the secondary moonstone embedded into magical bracelets and Vampires have small pieces of the darkstone from the secondary moonstone embedded into magical necklaces.[1] Daywalkers and Vampires also have to recharge their stones.[1] It is speculated that Z-Bands harvest energy from the moonstone, as it created Zombies.
